Blue Heron Boat Works  Blue Heron Boatworks was founded in 1979 on the northeast end of Wellesley Island. It has 35 in water slips servicing boats up to 30' with 8 of these covered. It has 11,000 square feet of inside winter storage space, a 3,000 square foot workshop and store. It also has a full service as dock facility. It has a full service marina with an emphasis on the building and repair of wooden boats. Our specialty is the St. Lawrence skiff, which we build both traditionally, as well as with the WEST system. We also offer complete restoration facilities for all wooden boats with a good selection of hardware and supplies available. In addition to our marine and boat building services, we also offer a large variety of other woodworking capabilities, such as custom cabinetry and furniture. We have an 8 foot lathe, which can be extended out to 12 feet. We also stock a large assortment of domestic and imported hardwoods as well as marine plywood.     Address: | |
